Facilitation Techniques

Facilitation techniques are learning methods that can be used by both faculty and students. Faculty use these methods to enrich the learning experience to ensure students acquire new competencies, develop skill capabilities, and are able to create new knowledge to inform their practice, and achieve their dreams. These techniques include:

  • Autonomous Learning
  • Collaborative Learning
  • Instructor-led Presentations
  • Integrated Engagement
  • Mentorship

An in-depth review of each of these techniques will be covered later in the eModule. Faculty are expected to guide student learning, be an integral part of the experience to learn from students, and impart enriching professional wisdom, knowledge, and work experience to ensure academic and leadership success.
