What is flexible education to you?
To me, flexible education is just that — “flexible”. Flexible education provides students with the opportunity to learn on their own terms. They take into consideration their own learning preferences, including their multiple intelligences, and they consider their own schedules. They are afforded the flexibility to ask for coaching from their facilitators and / or mentoring from other students. They have opportunity for asynchronous learning in the eModule and synchronous learning in the live virtual classroom of the eClass. In the eCourse Forums, students have the flexibility to express their perspectives of the topics being discussed. This flexibility allows students to do their best learning, because they are learning on their own terms.

Express some of the benefits you see in co-creating flexible learning experiences.
Co-creating flexible learning experiences with other faculty will be of benefit to the faculty in that it will enrich the learning experience for faculty. As faculty, we are also students, not just in the faculty training, but throughout our careers.
Co-creating flexible learning experiences with students through the various learning activities will allow students to feel as if they are truly immersed in the learning. They will develop greater understanding of the content being studied. They will also realize that their perspectives on the topics are valued.
As faculty, benefits include the realization that I am helping to guide and inspire the success of my students. Collaborative learning, at its best, provides so many benefits to everyone involved.
